RAW Emirates in the Liwa Desert

Introduction
The Emirates leg of the RAW Series, "the most extreme footrace series in the world"
The Emirates - This RAW Experience has it all, run in one of the world's bleakest deserts, encounter villages steeped in Arab tradition and finish in the opulence of the City of Dubai. As with the other RAW events, this is a 5 day endurance course covering 250km of ground, to challenge you both mentally and physically.
RAW Emirates is limited to 300 competitors
Course
- Saturday 8th November 2008
- Competitors arrive and stay in a hotel in Dubai
- Sunday 9th November 2008
- Competitors transported to base camp 1, South of Abu Dhabi near to Liwa Oasis
- Monday 10th November 2008
- 45km Competitors head north across dunes and tracks to camp 2
- Tuesday 11th November 2008
- 55km across the Tropic of Cancer to camp 3, south of Abu Dhabi
- Wednesday 12th November 2008
- 55 km north east across desert between Abu Dhabi and Dubai
- Thursday 13th November 2008
- 70km long day, the runners track east and then north east to finish south of Dubai
- Friday 14th November 2008
- 25km Final day finishing in Dubai City Competitors stay in a hotel in Dubai, Gala Dinner in the evening.
- Saturday 15th November 2008
- Breakfast and transfers back to Airport.

Price
RAW Emirates 2008 Entry Fee: £1,495
Included in the price are:-
- Airport Transfers on the first and last day for overseas competitors
- Accommodation for two nights in a Hotel in Dubai Hotel of Three Star category on Half Board basis
- Bottled drinking water
- Accommodation in small Tents while on the Race route
- Camping Crew for services of pitching camps
- Gala Dinner on 14th November at Dubai Hotel.
