We only have a limited number of confirmed places available -
once these are taken we will accept further entries onto a Waitlist.
People on the waitlist will be offered places as and when we have
cancellations.
We expect all confirmed AND waitlist places to be taken very quickly,
given the huge number of enquiries we have received. Inevitably, some
of you will be disappointed and we apologise for this.

Confirmed places for 2010 sold out within an hour of opening sales on 12 December 2007.
As there are inevitable cancellations between now and march 2010 we operate a waitlist of competitors who would like to fill the freed places. Places on the waitlist will go on sale tomorrow.
If you want to do the MdS you have to get in early (and have plenty of time to train for it using the other events we feature!)

Join Mencap’s extreme team!
Mencap's extreme team gives you the chance to push your limits beyond those required for a standard marathon.
Maybe you’ve already completed a few marathons, taken part in a challenge event and want the next step in endurance. You can challenge yourself and support the 1.5 million people with a learning disability living in the UK by taking on an ultra-marathon.
With guaranteed places on the Jungle Marathon and the Marathon des Sables, as well as suggestions from the North Pole Marathon to the Himalayas 100 Mile Stage Race, there’s bound to be a race for you. And we would love to have you on the team.
